It's Hard To Determine Which Hair Growth Treatments Are The Best by Peter Crump

There are so many hair growth treatments on the market that you have many to choose from if you are starting to see that you are losing your hair. Some people swear by certain treatments while others do not find them any good. For example, you can buy a comb that is supposed to help hair growth. This comb has a low-level cold laser beam that you plug in and run through your hair for 10-15 minutes three times a week. Other advertised hair growth treatments are in the form of shampoos and conditioners designed to spur your hair follicles to produce new hair growth.

Whether or not these products actually do work depends on who you ask. Doctors advise that you should search for the underlying causes of hair loss before you spend any money on hair growth treatments.

The recommended hair loss treatment for men is often different from that recommended for women because of hair growth. When evaluating any treatments for hair growth, you should make sure that the FDA has approved them. This agency tests the treatments to make sure they are safe to use, but it doesn't make a recommendation of whether or not they work. That is up to you to decide.

You shouldn't really expect to see substantial new hair growth if you use topical solutions as hair growth treatments, even with those prescribed by the doctor. In some cases men have seen a 50% new hair growth, but the usual percentage is much less than that.

Proscar and Rogaine are the hair loss treatments for men that doctors will prescribe and Minoxodil is suitable for both men and women. With these hair growth products you cannot just go into a pharmacy and select them off the shelves as you can with shampoos. These products are carefully controlled and are available only with a prescription. This is because they do have side effects and you should be under a doctor's care when using them.

One of the common hair growth treatments involves hair transplants. Although this is regarded as a hair loss treatment for men, it is also available for women. Women are better candidates as well because they often have healthier swatches of hair remaining to make hair grafts. However, if this is the hair loss treatment that you want to use, you'd better have a fat wallet, because it is expensive.

There are many hair growth treatments, not all work well. Be discriminating.

How To Deal With Hair Growth? by Matt Garrett

There is nothing more irritating and disgusting than having hair protruding out of your face, neck, arms, legs and other places. The problem of unwanted hair growth has increasingly become a cause of worry for men and women.

Today our society has somewhat become phobic about body hair. People today also opt for shaving their pubic hair. This loathe of hair is not merely restricted to women only, the metrosexual men want the hair on their chest and back to be removed. So the scenario can be summarized as increased dislike for hair growth.

Isn't it ironic that we are so cautious about hair loss from our head and, on the other side, we deliberately want our body hair be removed? If you are a man or a woman, unwanted hair on your face especially becomes a matter of disgust as the hair become harder to conceal.

The growth of unwanted hair can be controlled and removed. There are various treatments and techniques of getting rid of unwanted hair. You can get rid of those unwanted hair even at home.

Waxing

Waxing is used all over the world as the best home solution for unwanted hair growth. However waxing should be done by the beauty experts, but you can do it at home with waxing kits available in the market. Waxing is considered to be an effective method as it pulls the hair out form the roots, providing you with long lasting freedom against hair growth. There is one disadvantage of waxing, the procedure is very painful. Generally waxing is used on underarms, legs, arms, eyebrows and bikini lines.

Depilatory Creams

These creams are again a good alternative as a hair removal method. These creams contain a special and unique ingredient which dissolves the visible hair as well as the hair beneath surface. This ensures a long lasting freedom from unwanted hair on your different body parts. This process is just needed to be repeated once a week for the good results. On the contrary, this process is very messy as you need to apply the cream on your skin for a certain time period. It also requires caution as prolonged or heavy application can cause your skin to burn or become spotty. But these creams when applied with care leave your skin smooth and hair free.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis hair removal technique is the only method which provides you with the permanent hair removal. During the process, the follicles of your hair are destroyed. The process involves usage of a needle through which electric current is delivered. Besides the benefits of permanent and effective hair removal, this process has many disadvantages also. It is time consuming, costly and painful. This treatment should only be performed by a licensed electrologist.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is much faster and painless alternative for hair removal. Though its results are permanent, but it is an effective treatment for long term freedom from unwanted hair growth. Laser hair removal destroys the follicles of hair by heating them up. Laser hair removal is not much successful in removing, white, light or gray hair. Moreover it is not suited for dark skinned people.

IPL or Intense Pulsed Light Therapy - The Gentle Alternative for Wrinkles by Wendy Owen

Laser treatments have come a long way since they first appeared in the mid nineties. IPL - also called Flashlamp, MultiLight or Photo Laser - can perform minor miracles on sun damaged skin (photoaging) anywhere on the body, but most significantly on the face and hands.
IPL is a safer option than tradition laser resurfacing and is commonly used for facial hair removal, removal of birth marks and even tattoo removal. What we are mainly concerned with here, however, is skin resurfacing. Skin resurfacing can eliminate fine lines, spider veins and pigmentation and significantly reduce deep lines and acne scarring.
Broad spectrum light is a lot more gentle on the skin and the risk of burning or blistering is significantly reduced. So much so that IPL can even be used for the treatment of redness and rosacea. Many patients have also noticed a reduction in pore size and a smoother skin.
The benefits are ongoing too. IPL stimulates the skin to produce more collagen, plumping out the skin and making it appear younger.
IPL usually needs more that a single treatment and may need four and as many as six treatments for the full effect to be realized. Because of this, there are no "dramatic" effects after one treatment which makes it a great alternative for those who don't want to be conspicuous.
For this reason it's very popular with males who would rather die than admit to any form of facial rejuvenation!
Because the treatments are gentle, there is also minimal, if any, down time. Wonderful for those busy people on the go.
IPL is also much safer for dark skinned people than traditional laser treatments as it doesn't cause as much loss of pigment, although this is still a risk.
The deeper the treatment, the more the benefits are increased, but this has to be balanced against the increased risk of burning. Always select an experienced practitioner and ask to see photos.
Side effects? A pink face for a while and possible loss of pigment in the deeper IPL treatments. You will need to treat your skin gently and use a high UV sunscreen (15+ or more)IPL will not work on natural aging such as sagging skin. Only a face lift or neck lift can improve this. There is a non surgical procedure called "thermage" which may help and of course the "thread lift" which is gaining in popularity and which will give some "lifting" effect.

Hair Loss - The Bane Of Both Men And Women by Carol Evans

Hair loss had long been the bane of men, although it can also effect women and in that case, the effects can be even more emotionally devastating.
Since ancient times, hair loss has been associated with lack of virility and advancing age, even sinister overtones. The claim that bald men are actually les virile than these with hair is actually patently false, as men experiencing hair loss are actually doing so due to large amounts of testosterone in their bodies. Ironically, the hair loss process often slows down around the age of 50, when most men experience a significant drop in testosterone levels.
There are many people looking to make some money off of a man's fear of losing his hair. The advertisements run the gamut from natural remedies to tablets, to surgery. Some of these claims are true, and some will force a balding man to shell out a lot of cash for a hair loss remedy that simply does not work. The following are some methods that do work.
Propecia finestride is a tablet that is taken daily by men experiencing hair loss. It is prescribed by a doctor after a discussion of possible side effects. Remember that there will be side effects inherent with any working medicine, and that not all and sometimes none of them will come to pass, they are simply a possibility. As propecia finestride is designed to block testosterone development in part, side effects can include a loss of sexual appetite and fatigue. Propecia finestride has been show to re-grow some amounts of hair in 20% of men. In 60% of men, it stops the hair loss process, and in the last 20% it has no effect at all. If the pill is discontinued, men will experience hair loss at increased levels.
Rogaine is also used by men to slow down or halt hair loss. It is more inconvenient than finestride as it is a cream that must be applied to the hair twice daily. It has the same results as finestride, although the side effects are not as pronounced.A third option for anyone experiencing hair loss is surgery. Laser surgery and hair replacement surgery are both available, and of the two the replacement surgery is the best option as it uses the patient's natural hair to replace the hair that has been lost. As with any cosmetic surgery, however, there is significant cost involved and a large number of scam artists. People wishing to go this route must do their homework before selecting a doctor and should always verify credentials.

Hair Loss Solutions by Ian D. Major

A common problem

As it happens, we do not even notice when out hair starts to fall out and recede. Surprisingly, we lose and average of fifty to one hundred hairs daily. That is a lot but with recent scientific studies they have found many new hair loss solutions. There are three main ways to save your hair and as you read this article you will better understand everything you need to know about hair loss and how to prevent it.

What is Hair Loss?

What is hair loss? Well this is the point in time when your hair starts to shed. This will gradually start to daily. You lose hair but it is not noticeable at first unless you have long hair. The main reason that scientist think hair loss occurs is because your scalp needs to absorb more nutrients and some of your hair will need to move out of the way for it to do that. The other reason would be because your hair may start to die out, new hair is made to come in and replace it.

Preventing Hair Loss

One way to prevent hair loss would be to let nature do its job. Instead of using all that high-tech equipment and all those medicines and creams, you can allow your hair to grow naturally. By treating your hair right from the start your chances of keeping it in place rise dramatically. Who needs those fancy hair loss solutions?

Speak to your doctor

Speaking to your doctor or physician about what types of creams and pills or other hair loss solutions they recommend you use is a good idea. Since all of these items have been made for you to use for your hair, you can go out and buy them right?

Wrong, even though your hair may grow back you may pick up different sicknesses from these items. In order for your hair to successfully grow back the pills or creams interfere with your hair growing hormones. If they possibly interfere with any other hormones, then you are in very big trouble.

Treatments

The other way to help with hair loss is to go in for laser treatment. The way this works is that the laser technician will remove hair from areas where there is a lot of it. The bad thing about this is that they only have the ability to take out two to four hairs at a time. After the hair is removed, the insertion of it into your scalp begins. That has got to hurt! Using needles to insert the hair is very time consuming and painful; good thing you are knocked out!

These kinds of hair loss solutions cost a lot of money and can even be harmful. The rays of the laser are very strong and could damage your skin so you may want to research other hair loss solutions first.

Now that you have learned about hair loss and different hair loss solutions you will hopefully make the right decision on how to restore your hair to its former glory. The saying "beauty takes pain" has come to a whole new level!

The simplest method for hair loss can be the best by Marcel Gemme

Hair loss has been a problem that society has tried to address for centuries with minimal success. From shampoo, to laser combs, medications, and also from ancient Egyptian practices with lettuce and massage preparation made from Fir Tree extracts, man has tried different methods and therapies to stop hair loss and stimulate re-growth. Castor Oil was used by the Egyptians to encourage hair growth. They were mixing it with Sweet Almond Oil to improve the aroma and make the oil smoother and easier to spread. In the rainforests of South America, the Taiwano Indians treated scalp problems with heated extract of banana.

The most amazing aspect of balding is its aesthetic aspect. It is not dangerous physically; people do not die from it. Why is so much attention directed at the problem of hair loss? Hair has always played an important roll in attraction and expression. Early man's vanity demonstrates the power and influence that hair held even before tools were developed for shaving. More recently in the sixties and seventies during the hippie era, the "cool" thing to do was to let the hair and bear grow.

Men and woman have always been greatly concerned regarding hair loss. A lot of men and women consider themselves less attractive as their condition worsens. Some peoples suffering begins as early as their late teenage years or young adult age. Individuals at this already difficult age can find that the condition puts a strain on their relationships, hampering their ability to seek out partners in the competitive mating game.

Today, there are many treatments available to combat hair loss. Some solutions, such as transplants (to relocate hair follicles), can be long and painful procedures costing thousands of dollars. Shampoos and lotions have shown some success in arresting the progress of the disease, but offer little, if any re-growth.

In today's society, there are solutions that are not expensive and are the easiest solution for baldness in man. In the last ten years, shaving has become the most popular way to handle baldness. It is a less expensive way to take care of the problem. Even men without the problem of baldness, shave their head. Shaving has to be done on a regular basis, but is a less expensive alternative.

Men have a tendency to go towards expensive and complicated methods in handling this problem, where sometimes the best solution is the simplest one.

Laser Treatment to stop Hair Loss

Many people try to stop hair loss. There is an abundant amount of hair loss remedies in the market today. The basic components in hair loss treatments that have been approved by the FDA are Minoxidil and Propecia. Minoxidil is used to stimulate hair growth and Propecia works as a DHT inhibitor. Both men and women can use Minoxidil; men can use Propecia only.

Some users report satisfaction using one or a combination of both hair loss drugs. If using Minoxidil however, the hair loss amount can only be reduced, not eliminated completely. There is no simple remedy to stop hair loss completely until now.

Laser treatment in the form of LLLT is being used to stop hair loss substantially. Low level laser therapy, (LLLT), is based on the scientific principal of photo-biotherapy. Photo-biotherapy occurs when laser light is absorbed by the cells in the scalp which causes stimulation of cell metabolism and improves blood flow. For hair treatment, the laser light should reach the hair bulbs, which are located about 5-6 mm under the surface of the skin.

Hair laser therapy can be done in a clinic, comfortably seated under a revolving laser machine. There are also laser combs available, which can be used at home at regular intervals. Both utilize low level laser therapy (LLLT) technology. Low-level laser treatment of hair loss is painless and non-toxic. Many clinics and hair loss treatment centers now provide laser treatment as an additional treatment to their patients. The laser treatment is used to prevent further hair loss. It also stimulates new hair growth, due to improved and increased blood circulation in the scalp. Hair growth is generally obvious in 3 to 6 months.

With over 17 years of clinical experience the results seen are both exciting and impressive. Results have shown that both men and women of all ages respond with positive benefits to laser therapy. Users range in age from 18 to their late 80's.

User feedback collected to date suggests that more than 90% of users achieve positive benefits and results. In general about 45% of laser treatment users see noticeable indications of benefits within the first 6 weeks. Another 45% realize indications from 6-12 weeks. A small group of users take longer to see results with noticeable improvements at around 12 weeks.

Hair loss treatment centers are also now using laser hair combs to reduce the hair loss amount, in addition to tonics and natural herb extracts to accelerate the process. Combining both treatments make a good combination in overcoming hair loss.

Useful tips for using laser treatments at home using laser hair combs:
*Wash your hair
*Dry it before applying cleanser (using hair dryer with cold air is recommended to save time)
*Do laser treatment not more than 10 minutes
*Apply hair tonic or serum to increase hair growth.

Bald without looking bald by Ally Wied

Baldhead is a serious problem because it directly affects appearance in a person and needs a long time recovery. Hairs take time to grow. Hair growth cycle need at least six months while hair loss sometimes occur faster than the growth.

People with hair loss might feel that they have lots of problems such as:
* Embarrassed because their appearance are changed to the less good mode
* Difficulty in finding the right treatments
* Long time of waiting period of hair growth

Baldness can cause decreasing self-esteem. Appearance can lead to the first impression. A bald spot in the head is easy to attract someone attention. No one would be happy to be remembered by the bald mark.

Having a bald spot in the head does not mean we have to look bald. In this high technology where Internet can provide almost everything, looking good with baldness has been an easier task to complete.

These are the steps:
* Choose the right hair style that match your face Find websites that can help you find the perfect hairstyle that matches your face. They only need your picture and you will only have to wait for the result without doing anything to your hair.
* Pick a hair wig Use the picture that showed your best hairstyle to pick a hair wig. This can be done online too. So you do not have to go out and show your hair loss to anyone.

Remember, the above tips are only to cover the bald spot -not cure it. It only helps you maintain your confidence in public. The treatments like applying Minoxidil to stimulate hair growth, combing with laser comb to reduce hair loss or eating food supplement for hair are still needed.

Female Hair Loss Treatment by Alison Stevens

There are many reasons for female hair loss and therefore there is a need for a female hair loss treatment.

Some of the numerous reasons for female hair loss are the female body producing more testosterone than usual (women have small amounts in their bodies), or medical conditions involving hormones, as well as autoimmune diseases or thyroid disorders.

The causes for female hair loss are different to the causes of men's hair loss. Also hair loss in women can occur at any age, whereas men's hair loss typically occurs when they grow older. Women's hair loss is also different in that it can occur all over the head, whereas men tend to see hair loss mostly on the top and at the temples.

Since female hair loss can be caused by several medical conditions it is extremely important for a woman who is experiencing abnormal hair loss to be checked by a physician. Conditions such as underactive thyroid, for example, can lead to more serious symptoms and health issues besides hair loss. Diabetes and other autoimmune disorders can also cause hair loss. It is important not to experiment with a female hair loss treatment until you are certain what is causing your hair loss after consulting your physician.

Possible Treatments for Female Hair Loss

Treatment for female hair loss can be complicated by any underlying health issues, so, once you have ruled out serious health condition what are some of the options for female hair loss? Low dose minoxidil - often sold under the brand name Rogaine or Regaine, is often successful. Finasteride based treatments are suitable only for male hair loss and should be avoided by women due to known side effects which can include birth defects.

A more expensive option and one which many women choose is hair transplant. Another possible option is Lasercomb, which is an expensive laser treatment that makes the hair appear thicker. This one is FDA approved as well. A further possibility is Toppik, a treatment that is applied to the scalp, which assists in concealing the hair loss.

Since there are so many different causes of female hair loss there are many options for treatment. Female hair loss treatments can differ from male hair loss treatment. After you've eliminated any serious underlying medical conditions visit your local pharmacy and check out the range of female hair loss products available before you consider the more expensive options. Some of the over-the-counter hair loss products produce satisfactory results when used as directed.

New Trends in Hair Restoration by John DeVree

If you have a particularly persistent or severe case of hair loss, you may have been considering hair regrowth treatment through medical hair restoration. While vitamins, shampoos, and topical creams may stimulate hair regrowth in milder cases, when things get severe, it is time to consider medical hair restoration.

While it sounds like no big deal, hair restoration is in fact a surgical procedure, and should be conducted by or under the extremely close supervision of a medical doctor. While complications are fairly rare, you nonetheless do not want to be taking any chances. After all, the procedure does involve making some incisions into your scalp, and often some suturing. A properly done medical hair restoration treatment should be conducted in sterile conditions to achieve the best result and minimize the chances of complications.

Your options for this type of hair regrowth are several. The one most people have heard about is hair transplant surgery, in which small "plugs" of hair and follicles from a healthy area of your own scalp are removed, and sutured into an unhealthy scalp area. This type of procedure has been done for quite a few years now, and the techniques have become quite refined. Newer methods include micro-surgical techniques for hair transplantation involving only hair follicles.

Another possibility is scalp reduction surgery. In this procedure, unhealthy scalp is removed, and the remaining areas of healthy scalp are stretched and pulled over the areas that have been debrided (had the skin removed).

Obviously, the larger your bald area, the less likely you are as a candidate for this procedure, which is not really hair regrowth or hair transplantation. Instead, it is more like a "face lift" for your scalp.

Laser hair treatments have gotten a lot of publicity lately, also. These involve radiating the scalp with a laser, which is thought to "clean out" hair follicles, encourage scalp and hair follicle cell metabolism, and encourage damaged (not dead) hair follicles to resume normal activity. This type of treatment seems to work best when used in conjunction with topical methods, since it seems to potentiate their effectiveness, in some cases quite dramatically.

The newest method of medical hair restoration now being investigated is hair multiplication, which involves removing healthy hair follicles, removing the stem cells, and cloning them in the laboratory to literally grow new hair follicles from your own DNA, and then micro-surgically implanting them in the areas of unhealthy scalp. Early results are encouraging, showing up to 70% of patients benefitting, and this treatment is expected to be publicly available by 2009 or 2010.

Whatever you choose, when considering any type of surgical or medical hair restoration procedure, carefully investigate your options, and be sure that you are dealing with a credible, experienced, and well-educated health care provider. That said, take heart - many men can achieve great results through medical hair restoration techniques!

The bald truth about hair loss by Dr Larry Gershowitz

Although we live in a technologically advanced era, with information available to us at the touch of a computer screen, when it comes to hair loss, we are still bombarded with false and outdated facts. Because more than 75% of males and approximately 8% of females suffer from baldness, there is a massive market of people eager to accept bogus treatments in order to restore their crowning glory. It is a worldwide accepted scientific fact that we do not lose hair because of a lack of blood flow to the scalp. If this common myth were true, then every bald person would have gangrenous skin and their scalp would rot. It is also logical that if there where not sufficient blood flow to the scalp, a bald person would not bleed if they cut their head. Genetic hair loss is an inherited condition which is not life threatening, but has powerful psychological implications for the sufferer. It is caused by a sensitivity of the hair follicle (root) to the male hormone (testosterone). It is a progressive disease which results in a progressive thinning of the hair, which eventually becomes miniaturized and disappears. Once the hair has fallen out and bald skin appears no prayers, potions, lotions nor laser therapy could ever restore the lost hair. Despite the fact that there are thousands of quick-fix remedies and potions, the US Federal Drug Administration (FDA) has only approved two products to prevent further hair loss, namely Propecia (Finasteride) and Rogaine (Minoxidil). Although both have a role to play in the treatment of hair loss, they have their limitations. There are no magic or miraculous cures for baldness. Despite the massive advertising campaigns of ruthless businesspeople preying on the vulnerabilities of bald people to make a quick buck. The most expensive treatment is the treatment that doesn't work. Even if it cost R1; it is still a waste of money. Hair transplantation is the only permanent solution to this age-long problem. Hair is replaced in a natural and undetectable fashion. Using the latest international techniques, hair is relocated from an area where it is not pre programmed to fall out (donor area on the sides of the head). The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and is less painful than a visit to the dentist. It is totally undetectable and no one will be aware that it has been done. The transplanted follicles only start growing three to four months following the procedure. Because these follicles are not predisposed to fall out, they will continue to grow forever. The transplanted hair will never fall out. Our doctors at the clinic have performed more than 3000 procedures and offer all their patients a 100% guarantee. Today baldness is an option - it is no longer compulsory. Contact us for a free medical assessment to find out what your options are.

Laser Treatment for Hair Loss- A Low Cost Therapy? by William R. Nabaza

Hair loss is considered to be a dreadful condition among all kinds of people. The main cause for hair loss varies from heredity to nutritional deficiency. Other factors that can increase hair loss are stress, drug abuse or alcohol abuse, diet and scalp disorders. At first thinning of hair is noticed in the crown, which is a normal process of ageing.

To improve one's hair, a lot of people now rely on laser treatment. Laser treatment is used in many places to improve the appearance of hair. Most people suffering from hair loss are pleased by the results of laser treatment.

Although laser treatment for hair loss is available in many areas, the dermatologists are still in dilemma whether it is safe or not. Laser treatment for hair loss is generally performed in exclusive hair clinics. In these clinics they are having large laser devices, which require at least some sittings per month. Hence the use of laser treatment for hair loss is questionable.

Hair transplantation can be performed if the laser treatment for hair loss does not show results. In the male pattern baldness, hair transplantation can be performed. Hair loss due to accidents and operations can also be transplanted.

In order to reduce the cost of laser treatment for hair loss, a modern comb called laser comb is used to treat the hair loss condition. The main advantage of laser comb is that it saves money on laser treatments. Laser comb is the modified laser treatment for hair loss. This is the home version and low expense product when compared to Cosmetic Laser Devices. The laser treatment in hair clinics may cost hundreds of dollars for one sitting. But Laser comb is not expensive and approved by FDA as a cosmetic device for thickening hair appearance. Laser comb can be used as a laser treatment for hair loss in combination with a normal treatment regimen.

Although laser comb is approved by the FDA for the purpose of hair thickening, now the FDA is conducting numerous trials giving approval for hair growth stimulation. Laser light therapy is being used for anti inflammatory effects and wound healing on the skin.

Laser comb utilizes low level laser therapy (LLLT), which emits photo energy. Low-level laser treatment of hair loss is painless and non-toxic.

By using laser comb, you can achieve healthier, fuller, thicker hair. Normally men can't take their eyes off you, but now women won't!

Hair Loss Discoveries: Techniques of the Future by Timothy Garth

Hair transplantation:

Hair transplant is the most popular cosmetic procedure being followed today. Hair transplantation has the potential to produce the most dramatic change in one's appearance. But again, this should be carried out by a competent and experienced surgeon. The procedure involves removing of tiny particulars of hair from areas where the hair is growing [donor area] and by placing them in areas that are balding.

The physician literally makes a tiny incision into the donor area, generally from the back of the head, and removes follicles, inserting them into the top of the scalp, again with a tiny incision. This may result in minor scarring and infection in the donor area.

This process is quite time-consuming as it requires multiple transplantation sessions. Moreover, it can work out to be expensive. The success of the procedure lies in the quality and quantity of the donor hair. It has been a noted fact that hair transplantation has been more successful on men than in women

Follicular-Unit Extractions:

Follicular-unit extraction is a new type of hair transplant that is helping thousands of men and women today. It is a highly advanced micro-surgery treatment.

Grafting:

The process includes removal of a portion of the hair-bearing scalp from the back of the head and cutting the removed scalp into small segments. This consists of varying amounts of hair in each graft to achieve a thick and natural look with this technique. With each session hundred to thousand hair-bearing segments are transplanted. The donor sites are usually concealed by the surrounding hair. Basically there are three types of grafting:

Laser combs which are considered to be a 'low level laser therapy' are believed to stimulate hair follicles at the cellular level. These hand-held devices help in the re-growth of hair. The advantage is that the laser combs can be treated by men and women in the privacy of their own homes. It can be used just ten to fifteen minutes, three times a week
